Team member Bree Sapp sat down with Greenville city council woman Monica Daniels. Daniels discussed her up bringing in New York City and her journey to her position of leadership now in Pitt County. She discussed her love and value for helping people and serving whatever community she was in. Specifically her work with NC Civil.

Daniels also talked about the way she drew inspiration from her aunt, Linda Coleman, who was the first African American chair person to run for congress. Through out her interview Daniel's expressed her value for her community and the importance of connecting with the people in the community.
“ I'm a council person for all of Greenville. I represent District 1. I don't consider myself just a council person for black people or anything like that. I have to remember a lot of times that I serve everyone."- Monica Daniels
